We first introduced Katie and Greg in our She Said Yes Proposal Series. Greg proposed to Katie on a whim while in Tokyo Disney. He didn't even have a ring! We love the spontaneity of that story and how one decision can change your life forever in the best way possible! I think we can all take a lesson from Greg and just go for it!
Katie and Greg got married on September 8th, 2018. Their ceremony and reception were held at the Camden Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey! The services we provided were Personal and Ceremony Flowers, Centerpieces, Photography, Hair & Make-Up, Day of Coordination, and Transportation.
To be very honest with you, this was the first time I (Lisa) had heard of anyone getting married at an aquarium, and I was very intrigued. To my surprise, the Camden Aquarium (and I am sure many others) actually offer wedding packages and have rooms specifically for the occasion. This is such a fun venue, and we absolutely loved it!

To start off, here's a shot from Katie and Greg's engagement photo shoot, where they got to work with the photographer who was going to be taking photos on their wedding day. What an awesome way to get acquainted with your vendors before the big day, right? Engagement photos are so special to have, especially for Save the Dates!

The morning of your wedding day is probably going to be filled with so many emotions, but remember to make sure to have some time for yourself. What do you think was going through Katie's head at this point? How do you think you'd be feeling? BTW, shout out to our amazing stylists who did Katie's hair and makeup!

Katie's bridal bouquet was cascading with green hydrangea, burgundy mums, mini carnations, and eucalyptus wrapped with white ribbon and crystal pins. This bouquet is very fall-inspired, between the colors and flower choices! Greg's boutonniere was made to match, made up of a burgundy mini carnation with eucalyptus.
And yes, those are real-life sharks behind them! There is a shark tube at the aquarium that is just perfect for photos. I can't stop looking at these pictures!

This beautiful customized white aisle runner led the way for Katie and Greg during their ceremony. At the end, you can see the flower arrangements atop of the white pedestals, made of burgundy flowers and greens. These baskets were later used as decor for Katie and Greg's sweetheart table. There are so many different ways to reuse decor throughout the evening!

At your wedding reception, you will usually have some kind of guest book to sign in. Katie and Greg chose to have their guests sign a world map! Isn't this such a pretty welcome table? We love the addition of the rose petals and arrangements.
We decorated the guest tables with tall centerpieces made out of green hydrangea, burgundy mini carnations, gerbera daisies, mums, eucalyptus and hanging burgundy amaranthus with water, river rocks and a clear LED light on the bottom.

Guests were enclosed in a room full of glass tanks and the beauty of the ocean. What an absolutely amazing backdrop! To top it all off, they even got to interact and play with a penguin during the reception during what was known as Penguin Talk! Our hearts! 🐧

If you're still in the process of looking for a wedding venue, you should consider a fun, unique venue like the aquarium. We are sure your guests will be talking about it for ages! Where else will you be able to mingle with a penguin at a party?!

We love the monogram light just above Katie and Greg's sweetheart table. There is honestly so much work that goes into weddings.. preparation, planning, setting everything up the day of.. and it's always so rewarding and so worth it. This photo was taken early on in the day, as you can see there are no chairs at the guest tables. It's so interesting and fun to be able to be a part of all of the behind the scenes work!
We were so thrilled to be a part of this very special wedding! Katie and Greg were an absolute pleasure to work with, and we had so much fun. Thank you for saying "I DO" to us, too! We wish you love and happiness always!
