Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!

This time old tradition is believed to give bride's good luck when they tie the knot, if they incorporate all of these categories in to their wedding day! There are so many different (and fun) ways to incorporate something old, something new, something borrowed, som

ething blue into your wedding day!

Something Old

The "something old" can be really fun and sentimental at the same time and there are so many unique ways every bride can incorporate this into her day!

One way is using your mother or grandmothers old gown. Even if your moms or grandma gown is not the style you want you could still incorporate their belt or their veil to add into your look.

You could also have an vintage locket sewn into the ribbon on your bouquet with photos of passed family members who can not be there on your wedding day.

My personal favorite way to incorporate "something old" into your day is to arrive and leave in a vintage car. This would be the perfect photo op and seriously you'll never look cooler.

Something New

Well even if you can not think of anything new that you will be getting on your wedding day there are a few "new" things all brides will be getting. The first "new" thing is a sparkly new ring and the other is a new last name!

Something new can really be anything - new shoes, your gown if it's new, or even a new piece of jewelry! Try not to overthink this one it can be anything!

Something Borrowed

Ahhhh something borrowed! This category, I personally believe, is the most fun. Your mom's gorgeous earrings you've been eyeing as long as you can remember? The perfect something borrowed. One of our brides at NJ Wedding Pros had a very special something borrowed!

One of our brides gave her best friend her Angela Nuran shoes from her wedding day! The best friend had them re-dyed so that they matched her wedding perfectly. Now that's a good best friend!

Something Blue

Last but certainly not least, something blue. Just like all of the other categories the options really are limitless but here are a few of our personal favorites! If you're really going for something simple you could just have your nails painted blue!

If you're looking to be more creative than that, Betsey Johnson has a line of wedding heels and sandals that all have blue bottoms! How perfect is that?! It's a fun but easy way to include something blue.

If you're a bridesmaid trying to help your bestie gather her "somethings" you'll love this idea. You could give the bride a hankerchief that has embroidered on it, in blue, of course, "No Ugly Crying" which she could pin inside her dress.

Happy Wedding Planning!
