Wedding Highlights: Brittany & Dave 8/26/18

Think of yourself as a child. Who were you friends with? Are you still friends with some of those people now? Sometimes, we get lucky and have a friendship that lasts over 10 years. Maybe you started out as little ballerinas wearing tutus and tiaras in dancing school, and now you're both wearing wedding dresses and veils. How amazing is it to be able to have someone there with you through all of the special stages of your life?

Well, that's the case for our very own co-owner, Karissa Petrellese! We were able to help coordinate and plan one of Karissa's very good childhood friend's wedding days, and we couldn't have been more excited to be a part of her BIG day!

Brittany and Dave got married on August 26th, 2018. Their ceremony and reception were held at the Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury, NJ, an elegant estate.

The services that we provided for Brittany and Dave were Flowers, an Aisle Runner, Ceremony Decor, Centerpieces, Bridal Shoes, and a Butterfly Release!

Brittany's bridal bouquet was freeform with soft pink lillies, dark blue delphinium, blush pink roses, blush pink garden roses, a few baby pink spray roses, white snapdragons, light pink alstromeria, baby's breath, ruscus and seeded eucalyptus with greens cascading and wrapped with Brittany's mom's lace. Her maid of honor and bridesmaids had similar bouquets, just a little smaller in size. We love this color combination!

Brittany and Dave's wedding ceremony was held outside on an absolutely gorgeous day. The aisle was lined with lanterns and a beautiful custom burlap aisle runner sprinkled with rose petals. Take a look at this picture perfect ceremony scene...

A butterfly release is an extremely beautiful moment to have after the couple has been announced as newlyweds, and is a service we love being able to offer to our couples. Butterflies symbolize a new life, and new beginnings. We love watching the butterflies fly out of their box and out into the open air, above the guests; sometimes, they even land on flowers, which make for the perfect photo op! Don't worry, those little guys are safe and sound in their release box until they are set free into the air. We make sure of it!

Every bride needs a pair of perfect shoes for her wedding day. We promise, these Angela Nuran shoes are the best you're going to find. With comfort and style (just look at this bling!), they help you float down the aisle! Brittany had her Starletta shoes customized with an antique brooch, cruzada strap, solid glitz, and dyed ballet pink!

For reception centerpieces, Brittany had mason jars, tree bark, lace and lanterns. We added baby's breath with delphinium to some, while other tables had hydrangea, and the rest of the tables had pink lillies and delphinium. We added white lace around the tree bark with 4 votive candles. Don't think a centerpiece just has to be one arrangement. There are sooo many different elements that you can include in your centerpieces.

Do you want to hear a little trick? You can always use your bridesmaid's bouquets as extra centerpieces if necessary! After the ceremony and photos, your girls probably won't need their bouquets for the rest of the day. Put them in vases and use them as centerpieces for your welcome table, a guest table.. anywhere you desire!

Don't forget about your own table when taking into account all of the guests at your reception! Traditionally, the newlyweds sit at a special table called the Sweetheart Table. This table is an easy way to spot the newlyweds and showcase them.

You already know what we are going to say. OBSESSED! We love love these gorgeous King and Queen chairs that Brittany and Dave chose for their Sweetheart Table, along with their flower swag, candles, and other gorgeous decor.
