Not only do we love sharing our couple's wedding stories, we love sharing their proposals. We reached out to some of our future brides to get all of the beautiful details of their engagement; we love hearing how these journeys to forever began. Today we are featuring three of our couples!

Mackenzie & Victor

Getting married on July 27th, 2019 Saint Teresa of Avila Roman Catholic Church in Summit, NJ with their reception at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park, NJ.

Victor popped the question on December 23rd, 2017 at Strega Bistro

in Berkely Heights, NJ. You won't believe what he did to her friends, too! <3

"We had been talking about getting married for awhile, we were just waiting for the right moment. Victor was switching careers and I am completing graduate school this December so we were waiting for the right time. He planned a surprise engagement in front of my friends the night of our Christmas dinner celebration. I had just finished eating dinner with many of my closest friends and as we finished paying the bill I got up to go to the bathroom and when I came back my friends had moved my wine glass out of the way. From the Ground Up by Dan and Shay started to play and I said to my friends I love this song - clearly still not thinking anything. He walked into the restaurant with a bouquet of pink roses - my favorite and my maid of honor, Alexa, who was not at dinner but was in on the entire plan! We got down on one knee and popped the question. He then in turn gave each of my friends ring pop because he had always promised them if he married me he'd marry them too! We laugh, cried tears of joy, and popped champagne. Then, went to Delicious Heights, the local bar in my hometown where my family and more friends were waiting to celebrate with us! We look forward to celebrating with all our family and friends by our side next July!"

WOW.. how incredibly sweet was this proposal?

Katie & Greg

Getting married on September 8th, 2018 at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ!

Greg popped the question on April 21, 2016 at Tokyo Disney Sea!

"During the evening fireworks I spontaneously got down on one knee and proposed, without a ring." The photo above is of Greg and Katie at a nearby location in the park.

What a gutsy move, and one to always remember!

Jennifer & Andre

Getting married on June 22nd, 2019 at Park Pavilion in Seaside Park NJ.

Andre popped the question on November 10th, 2017 during a trip to the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. Jennifer had a feeling Andre might propose since he planned the trip, but things didn't go exactly as she thought they would!

"Andre and I had been together for almost nine years when he proposed. Throughout those years I have always been our “trip planner,” so when Andre told me that he wanted to plan a long weekend trip I became a bit skeptical, especially since he chose a place that means so much to us, the Pocono Mountains. I have been going to the Pocono Mountains with my family since I was a little girl and when Andre and I first met, it was the first trip that we went on together. After that first trip, Andre fell in love with the Poconos too and we made it a tradition to go at least once a year.

Andre planned a beautiful getaway at a couple’s resort. The day that we arrived, was perfect. It was November, so the fall foliage was beautiful and we decided to take a boat out on the lake. I remember thinking “this has to be it!” but it didn’t happen then. After the boat ride, we decided to go on the nature trail. Along the way there was a beautiful gazebo that overlooked the lake, in which Andre took my hands and kissed me, but still no proposal. At this point I started to think that he was on to me having an idea that he was going to propose. I started to think that maybe this was the trip before THE trip. We had an awesome night and in the morning, we were looking out our window and noticed that snow began to fall over the lake. We sat outside on our balcony watching the snow and once again I thought that it was going to happen, but… still no ring. I REALLY started to have my doubts, especially since we were checking out in a couple of hours. After sitting and watching the snow, we packed up the car and Andre suggested that we take one last walk down to the lake before we left. While walking down the deck stairs to the lake, he asked me if we could stop to take pictures and then he suggested that he take a picture of me looking out at the lake. I looked out at the lake, he took the picture, and when I turned around he was on one knee. My heart sank as he grabbed my hands and FINALLY asked me to be his wife. It was the happiest day of our lives and it made me realize that maybe I should ask Andre to plan more trips. :)"

We just love these stories! Our favorite thing about proposal stories is how unique each one is to each couple, and how special it is to look back on this day. If you want to share your proposal story with us, e-mail us!
