Before we get ahead of ourselves, first things first – have you picked out your gown yet? It is important to have your gown prior to choosing the floral bouquet. You want to stay away from bouquets that hide details of your dress and your silhouette. The flowers and form should accentuate the gown rather than draw attention away from it.

The next aspect to consider is the color of your floral bouquet. The theme of the bouquet should match the overall motif of the wedding to create balance. Many brides choose to use the color of their bridesmaids’ dresses as the color of the flowers to create a balanced look. If you want your bridesmaids’ bouquets to look different you could give them different blooms other than your own. You could also give your bridesmaids a different bouquet shape.
